CUPID’S CARE

Miss Blanche Bell Harr and Mr. Frank McElhenie Married Last Evening

A very pretty wedding took place last evening at the residence of ex-Postmaster, D. C. Harr, 609 Fifth Street, which joined for life two happy youths – Miss Blanche B. Harr, the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Harr and Mr. Frank McElhenie, one of La Salle’s very popular young men. The ceremony was performed in the north parlor between the arched bay window under a canopy of golden rod caught up in pretty decorations on the American emblem. The room was handsomely decorated with ferns and potted plans, whose fragrance perfumed the room and gave splendor to the brightness of the room. The bride and groom stood beneath this beautiful decoration and promised fidelity to each other through life, in response to Rev. Lowry, who officiated. The bride wore a beautiful white silk and carried a bouquet of white roses. The groom wore a fine evening suit.

After the marriage, the guests sat down with the bridal party to a sumptuous wedding supper which was pronounced fit for the gods. Afterwards music and dancing flitted the hours away until early morning when the guests retired congratulating and wishing a happy married life to the popular young folks.

The bride is a prepossessing young lady whose admirers are many in this and other cities, and the groom should congratulate himself on the selection of a life partner he has made.

Mr. McElhenie is one of the young men of La Salle whose every acquaintance is a friend. He has charge of the mail transfer at this point. The DEMOCRAT wishes them God speed.
