JESS F. HATHAWAY was born June 30, 1850 in New York state, and passed away in Wedron, Illinois, March 16, 1926 at the age of 74 years 7 months and 15 days.
The family moved to the state of Missouri where Mr. Hathaway resided until at the age of 18 when he moved to the community of Wedron where he has lived since.
Mr. Hathaway's wife died several years ago; and since then he has made his home with his son, Bert.
There remains to mourn his two sons, Bert and Albert of Wedron, a brother, John Hathaway of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, besides a host of friends who extend their sympathy in the hour of bereavement. Funeral services were held at the Wedron M. E. church Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. Muir. Interment was in the De Bolt cemetery one and one half miles east of Wedron.
