Looking for information on John William Zea, born Oct 18, 1835 in Schoharie County, New York. His father was William Zea, born in Schoharie County, New York in 1812.The family moved to LaSalle County, Ill. in 1846. Another son, Lyman L. Zea was born in LaSalle County, Sept. 20, 1849. Family legend says that during the Colonial period, three brothers by the name of Zea crossed the Atlantic from Holland to Manhattan Island. Two of these brothers later returned to Holland and one remained in Manhattan. We have no records from the original Zea brother to William Zea. Anyone with any information on Zeas please contact us.

Seeking info on CARRIER family in LaSalle Co.,Ill during 1860's. My g-grandfather ELDORADO C. CARRIER was born May 17,1861 to DAVID and EMMA CARRIER in Pers LaSalle Co. The family must have moved to Meigs Co., OH because ELDORADO marr. MARGARET SCHOENLEIN there and died there. I am looking for information about William B. Myers, born in Pennsylvania around 1846 to German immigrants. I have confirmed using census data that he resided in Mendota in Lasalle County in 1870. While living in Mendota, he and his wife Jenny, also from Pennsylvania, had two sons; Charles Henry born in 1868 and James A. born around 1870. By 1880 William had left Mendota and moved to Bloomington in McLean county and apparently had remarried to Cevila Jane (?). A birth record for Charles or James would be a huge help in my research. There may also be a marriage record in LaSalle County for William and Cevila.

Martha Keyes FIELD was living with her FIELD sister who was married to Elmer BALDWIN of CT, at Farm Ridge, LaSalle Co., IL, in the 1850 census. Elmer BALDWIN was a farmer andnurseryman and also served as a representative to the Illinois Legislature. I don't know if Martha Keyes FIELD died as a spinster at LaSalle Co., married at LaSalle Co., or returned to Worcester Co. MA. I would like to find any record of her at LaSalle Co., including death record. This FIELD family from Worcestor Co., MA, named their children with a family surname as a middlename.
